The Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is a private, non-profit organization. While our professional staff works to attract sporting and convention groups, reunions, weddings, group tours, individual tourists, and area residents to Flint & Genesee County, our priority is attracting overnight guests. Our goal is to drive as much of this hospitality business to our membership base, which is made up of Genesee County hotels/motels, restaurants, attractions, and more.
Why overnight guests? People who stay overnight, not only spend money on accommodations, but also on dining, shopping, attractions, and more in Flint and Genesee County. When hospitality-based businesses have increased business, this money trickles down to their suppliers and service providers; this increased spending benefits our local economy. Increasing overnight visitors and promoting tourism helps improve the economy of Genesee County.
